This Wiki is a service provided by IMPLS Launch Systems LLC and we are incorporated as a Limited Liability Corporation in the state of New Mexico, USA.

I have always advocated that every business and organization should have a written history, if not an official historian. The primary function of this Wiki is to document the story of Impulse Launch Systems and our role in the rocketry community.

In addition, parts of this site are devoted to freely available resources for the safe operations of the rocketry community. As a business serving to needs of practitioners and educators our focus is on launch field safety.

I am a nerd and this is my Wiki. I love the Wiki and specifically a MediaWiki because it is an almost ideal realization of a knowledge base—a powerful and flexible tool for representing a body of knowledge, or even all knowledge (see Wikipedia). It may also be edited by an almost unlimited community of interested authors. This Wiki may be edited by you if you are a subject matter expert who wishes to contribute, and you ask me for an account. Even as the chief advantage of a knowledge base is to get all of that information out of one pointy head and make is easy to explore—more pointy heads are better than one.

This Wiki was founded in November of 2022 by Thomas Kindig, COOChief Operations Officer, Chief Designer and Builder of IMPLS Launch Systems, LLC.
