We offer a range of products to support your launch. We build sturdy products that offer built-in reliability, and will stand up to rugged field use. Controls are large, easy to understand and easy to operate. Continuity test for rocket hookups is available at Controller and Console. All products are optimized for quick set up and tear-down. All parts are stowed away in one neat package. No loose parts means no disappointments.

The fiver/SPORT Bundle

The fiver/SPORT Bundle is our best selling launch system (shown here). It is a complete launch rack and controller setup for five rockets. It may be carried to the field and set up by a single person, in a matter of minutes. Teardown is just as easy.

Your complete Launch System: The fiver/SPORT Bundle

Everything is included from Power supply to alligator Clips. Everything you need to conduct a rocket launch. All controller components are stored in a compact reusable carton. Launch leads and extension cable wrap neatly onto the controller spool.

The SPORT Launch Rack includes five (5) 1/8" and two (2) 3/16" stainless steel launch rods, 3ft long. The launch rods and standoffs fit neatly inside the core of the rack for storage. Use any combination of rods. The rack is based on a sawhorse, which is the perfect elevation for young flyers. Launch leads are arranged in a guide channel across the front of the rack.

The launch angle of the rack is adjustable up to 30 degrees from vertical. Setup and tear-down takes minutes, and can easily be handled by one person.

The fiver/SPORT Bundle is our best selling product. Our customers range from rocketry clubs to schools and museums who support rocketry through STEM (STEAM) education programs like summer camp, 4H, and Civil Air Patrol. Need more launch positions? You can double your fun at a discount. Buy a second system with the By2 Adaptor and switch between two (2) racks from a single console for a total of ten (10) launch positions. This has the added benefit that flyers may be loading rockets on one rack while the other is live (launching rockets).

Safety

Impulse Launch Controllers are based on a dual-lockout design. There are ARM switches at both the Controller and the Console. When the system is ARMed it emits a loud audible alert to indicate that the system is live. Each controller includes an AUX Jack to connect [ALLert, an LED strobe] (optional) for visual indication that the system is live.

Our systems include the Power Pack, which is an automotive jump-starter battery with an EC-5 connector. There is no way to hook this up wrong, and there are no exposed terminals. Power Packs are good for 3-5 years of regular use, and are inexpensive to replace. The system includes a circuit breaker to protect against short circuit conditions that could pose a risk to the Power Pack.

The fiver-M

The Impulse fiver-M is a five (5) position launch controller ideal for Medium Power launches on your own launch rack, or individual pads. This controller is designed with larger launch leads attached via banana jacks to the controller. This makes it easy to customize the length of your launch leads to suit your setup. It also makes it easy to replace damaged leads.
